What I’m Reading

Books:

On my Project 20/20 list, I have a daunting task: read 52 books in one year. This is the year I attempt it, perhaps foolishly as grad school (or any schooling, for that matter) is notoriously too much work to maintain reading outside of class. But you never know. I’ll be keeping my list here as the year goes on, please send suggestions my way!

  1. Garlic and Sapphires: The Secret Life of a Critic in Disguise, Ruth Reichl
  2. Tender at the Bone: Growing Up at the Table (Random House Reader’s Circle), Ruth Reichl
  3. Nine Lives: In Search of the Sacred in Modern India, William Dalrymple
  4. Camera Lucida, Roland Barthes
  5. Comfort Me with Apples, Ruth Riechl
  6. The Gastronomical Me, MFK Fisher
  7. Her Again: Becoming Meryl Streep, Michael Schulman
  8. The Girl on a Train, Paula Hawkins
  9. Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne, John Tiffany
  10. The Devil Wears Prada, Lauren Weisberger

May Ruth’s memory be a blessing, and may we all fight to continue her legacy for future generations 💕

When I would walk home from work in the summer I used to pass this bar and dreamt today it was still open and still loud, with people spilling onto the sidewalk. I miss you, New York. ❤️
