Paris has changed a lot in the past four years (despite what I say). I live in a new neighborhood, take a different metro line, and this weekend will face my fear of biking through the city (it is by far the cheapest form of transportation at 30€ per year). I used to get lost – a lot – but now I have an iPhone, for better or for worse.
It’s almost as if I’m living in an entirely new city, without having to relearn a metro system or language. Today, I want to share some of my favorite Parisian resources for cafés, markets, restaurants, and events throughout the city – perfect for visitors and expats alike.
Paris By Mouth
→ A comprehensive guide to many, many restaurants in Paris
→ Emily just released a book, The Paris Market Cookbook, that I am dying to get my hands on. She writes about French markets and le terroir, meaning je suis fan 😉 She also has a podcast!
Messy Nessy Chic
→ Nessy is a British expat who covers Paris insolite – meaning you see a whole new side of Paris, loin des touristes. See this story about the real elephant outside the Moulin Rouge.
This is by far not an exhaustive list of bloggers in Paris, just those which I regularly turn to when looking for a new market to crash or an unchartered café to find. Who am I missing? Tell me in the comments! ♦
